Started / Trained Dogs

We have nearly 2,000 acres of land on which to work our dogs. There is enough variety in the terrain to teach the dogs to hunt different types of cover. We start all of our pups training with a program designed to make them handle and hunt for the hunter on foot. Lots of liberated game in a controlled environment serves to evaluate their natural talent quickly and to constantly reinforce the desire to hunt hard and hunt close. Our definition of started means a dog is at the very least pointing and has been shot over. He may be nearly “trained”, which we define as steady to wing and shot. Trained dogs of course are likely to have more experience.

All started dogs will be shown at the kennel by appointment only. Please try and give as much notice as possible if you wish to set up an appointment. Price on these dogs are subject to change at any time as dogs are currently in training. In the event a started or trained dog is to be shipped there will be an additional $100 fee for health certificates and trip to the airport. Sales are subject to 8% NYS Sales Tax. Dogs are guaranteed against any hereditary problems. Ch. stands for Champion.
